Recently, we screened the “A Beautiful Hope” film with very enthusiastic audiences at Covenant Community Church in Sandwich, First Congregational Church of Hamilton and two showings at Gordon College. This film is the last one Steve directed in India with Create International and features the heartbreaking story of an orphaned girl’s search for meaning and salvation in rural Rajasthan.
Fret not, you haven’t missed your opportunity to see this beautiful film. Soon we will be sharing it at the following churches:
- Calvary Chapel in Canterbury, CT
- Centerville Christian Endeavor Church
- Falmouth Baptist Church
- First Congregational Church of Middleton
- First Congregational Church of Essex (behind-the-scenes video only)
We would be very happy to arrange a special screening at your church or home as well.

Create International now has seven teams functioning in different offices around the globe, and we are now serving as the leaders of a brand new 7th team. Last summer we were surprised to find ourselves being led back to the USA. We sensed that God was up to something new, and these last few months have confirmed God’s wisdom to do new things in new ways. Our team here will be focused on the fulfillment of the 20/20 Vision, which will include producing more films, training and mobilizing for this movement. You can watch a short video here for more information: http://youtu.be/qBAL6A_XZkk. Soon we hope to share a website that will provide unique training and production offerings with you.
Because the cost of living is greater in the U.S. than Thailand, our current level of support is no longer meeting our financial and ministry needs. Consequently, Allyson has gone back to work part-time to help make ends meet and will serve part-time with Steve in this new team. Steve will remain a full-time YWAM missionary, which requires a minimum of 35 hours a week of ministry work. (He easily and always exceeds that quota!) We already have a full schedule for 2013 that includes two or three films and training programs in Asia.
- April: teach video production in India and produce an evangelistic film
- May-June: Create Staff Gathering and Call2All, Chiang Mai Thailand and pre-production planning for an upcoming evangelistic film with the FFS
- August-October: Teaching in the Frontier Filmmaking Seminar (FFS) in Chiang Mai, Thailand and production of an evangelistic film
- October: Possible participation in another evangelistic film overseas.
Currently, we are doing a lot of preparation for these productions and training programs, reconnecting with supporters and new churches, fundraising and laying the groundwork for upcoming team initiatives including a short term missions program that would allow you to join us on the set of a Create International film in 2014!

Our vision for the 2013 furlough campaign is to increase our support from nine churches to twenty supporting churches, and to see an increase in our monthly support. Our desire is for church members to move from being “transactional givers” to passionate participants transformed by the desire to see the least reached people groups provided with a clear evangelistic film or indigenous art-form by 2020. Your advocacy and partnership in our ministry through prayer and financial giving is increasing our ability to make these evangelistic films worldwide.
We can not continue this work without you. Thank you for your faithful prayers, awesome advocacy, generous giving, and encouragement to keep going. We thank God for you and are blessed by your participation with us in this ongoing journey of faith.
